Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Circoolo — plain-language, honest, and written for a product that's still in private beta.

Last updated · July 2026

Welcome to Circoolo — a marketplace, social, and community app for digital nomads, built by a small team in São Paulo, Brazil. These Terms are the agreement between you and Circoolo. We've kept them clear and honest rather than burying the important parts in legalese.

Acceptance

By creating an account or using the Circoolo app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Rules. If you don't agree, please don't use Circoolo.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live) to use Circoolo. It's a platform for adults.

Your account

You sign in through Firebase Auth using your phone number (one-time SMS code), Google, or Apple. A few ground rules:

  • One real identity. Use your genuine information and maintain a single account. No impersonation, no fake profiles.
  • Keep it secure. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your phone, Google, or Apple sign-in secure.
  • You're responsible for your account. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

The services

Circoolo has three pillars:

  • Marketplace — nomads hire services from other nomads (design, development, legal, coaching, photography, and more).
  • Orbit — city-scoped events and meetups you can RSVP to and check in on arrival.
  • Communities ("Orbits") — public (discover) and private (apply-to-join) community hubs, community-owned and curated — a group-chat replacement.

Marketplace, fees & payments

Circoolo is a venue, not a party to your deals. We connect nomads who want to hire and be hired, but the agreement for any service is strictly between the client and the provider. Circoolo is not a party to that agreement and isn't responsible for the quality, legality, safety, or delivery of services arranged through the platform.
  • Fees. During the private beta there are no middle-layer fees (0%). After beta, we plan to introduce a small platform fee (around 5%). We'll be transparent about any change before it takes effect.
  • Provider subscriptions. Providers may optionally subscribe on a monthly or annual basis for additional features.
  • Payments. Payments for paid features are handled by our third-party payment processor(s). Their terms apply to the payment itself.
  • Taxes. You are responsible for your own taxes on any income you earn or payments you make through Circoolo.

Referrals & rewards

You can earn rewards for referring new members. The referrer can earn both reputation and a cash reward that varies by region. Referral terms may change over time, and rewards are subject to anti-abuse rules — any fraud, fake accounts, or gaming of the referral system may result in forfeited rewards and account action.

Reputation & reviews

Your orbit score (an XP ladder: Explorer → Connector → Builder → Ambassador) is earned through real activity and is portable across cities. After a completed gig, both sides can review each other.

  • Be honest. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences.
  • No manipulation. Don't buy, sell, trade, or incentivize reviews, and don't try to artificially inflate your reputation.

Your content & license

You own your content — your listings, posts, messages, reviews, and profile. To operate Circoolo, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your content within the service, as needed to run the platform and show your content to the people it's meant for. This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except for content others have already interacted with or that we must retain for legal or safety reasons.

Acceptable use

Using Circoolo means following our Community Rules. In short: be respectful, be honest, keep it legal and safe, and don't abuse the platform or other members. Please read them — they're part of these Terms.

Moderation, suspension & termination

You can report content or people you believe break the rules. To keep the community safe, Circoolo may warn, suspend, or remove accounts and content, and take emergency action where needed. We aim to be fair and proportionate, but we reserve the right to act to protect our members and the platform. You can also stop using Circoolo and delete your account at any time.

Disclaimers

Circoolo is provided "as is" and "as available". We're in private beta, which means the product is still evolving — features may change, things may break, and availability isn't guaranteed. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the deals or connections made through it will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Circoolo isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your dealings with other users or providers. Since Circoolo is a venue and not a party to the agreements between members, disputes over services are between the people involved. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Circoolo harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the service, your content, your dealings with other members, or your breach of these Terms or the law.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any dispute will be subject to the competent courts of Brazil, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live. Apple App Store and Google Play rules also apply to your use of the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as Circoolo grows. When we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Circoolo after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
